Lakeville Rotary Helps Fill 53-Foot Trailer for Crutches 4 Africa
Lakeville Rotary was proud to once again participate in the Crutches 4 Africa collection effort, helping restore mobility, independence, and dignity to individuals in need.
This year, 23 Rotary clubs joined forces to collect nearly 3,000 mobility devices. Over the weekend, volunteers worked together to completely fill a 53-foot trailer, which departed Monday morning bound for Mexico with 2,680 mobility devices and supplies.
What was shipped:
- 163 Wheelchairs
- 489 Crutches
- 251 Canes
- 404 Walkers
- 208 Rollators & Knee Carts
- 973 Soft Goods (braces, supports, and related items)
- 186 Wheelchair Parts
- 4 Prosthetic Legs
- 2 Jogging Strollers
Total Items Shipped: 2,680
