For the month of March Lakeville North High School has chosen Cole Tousignant as the March Rotary student of the month.  Cole is planning to attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison and enter the Army National Guard ROTC Program.  Through this program he hopes to get a full scholarship in order to pay for college and to serve his country.  Cole has attained a high GPA at Lakeville North High School as well as being involved in numerous activities.
 
Cole is a member of the National Honor Society, track, and football.  He helped run girls soccer games as a ball chaser, ran the scoreboard and has done announcing.  Cole is an Eagle Scout, and has made benches for the Forest Restoration project.  He has volunteered at the haunted forest at North Park, as well as worked at Feed my Starving Children.  Cole is involved in the youth group at church.  He is active in Scouting High Adventures, gone on trips to the boundary waters, backpacking through the Rockies and done scuba diving.  Cole has attended two National Scouting Jamborees and works at Culvers. For the month of March, Martin Halvorson has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville South High School. Martin has a cumulative GPA of 4.428 and ranks one out of a highly competitive class of 458 students. Martin has received awards such as the Triple "A" (Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award), the National Merit Semifinalist Award as well as the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. He has demonstrated leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities, such the Soccer, Nordic Skiing, Tennis and Math League Team. Currently, he is ranked #1 in the math league.
 
Martin’s parents are Charles Halvorson & Maureen Thielen. His dean is Dana Cronin.
