Tim draws from the leaders in positive psychology and turns PhD. research into you and me understanding.

Rotary Students of the Month-March
   Maria Puff                           Dracco Hoang
Each month of the school year, the Lakeville Rotary Club recognizes students of the senior class who demonstrate “Service Above Self”.
For the month of March Lakeville North High School has chosen Maria Puff as the March Student of the Month. Maria’s GPA puts her in the top one percent of the senior class. She is a National Merit Commended Scholar and a recipient of the Harvard Book Award from Lakeville North. Maria has played piccolo in the Lakeville north Marching Band for all four years of high school, serving as a drum major her senior year. She also plays the violin, and participated in the Minnesota Youth Symphonies for four years. In past years, she was a member of the Lakeville north Cross Country, Nordic Ski, and Track and Field teams.
Maria is a member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she assists as a lead alter server at Mass, and has volunteered at Feed My Starving children. She recently participated as a small group leader in a Kindness Retreat at Oak Hills Elementary. Maria will attend the university of Minnesota next year, majoring in biomedical engineering.
Maria’s parents are John Puff and Pamela Orr and her Dean is Cary Zahn.
For the month of March Dracco Hoang has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville South High School.
Dracco is a senior at Lakeville South High School who has had a very unique path through his four years. When Dracco first started in high school, he was in a highly supported special education program. He worked his way out of special education and into two programs: Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and the STEM Academy.  Dracco is currently working on his STEM capstone project with Dr. Hansen at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis. Through the Prosthetics Research Department, Dracco is researching a new brace design for people with scoliosis. Dracco’s individual determination and commitment to helping others makes him an obvious choice for Lakeville South’s Rotary Student of the Month.
