Frank Schoeben Memorial Blood Drive

CrossRoads Church is hosting the Lakeville Rotary’s 2016 Frank Schoeben Memorial Blood Drive on Monday, October 10th from 3:00 pm until 7:30 pm. This fall’s blood drive is being dedicated to the memory of Frank Schoeben, a long-time member of the Lakeville Rotary Club. Rotary Students of the Month
 
SEPTEMBER 2016 ROTARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
 
Each month of the school year, the Lakeville Rotary Club recognizes students of the senior class who demonstrate “Service Above Self”. 
 
For the month of September Lakeville North High School has chosen Haley Bulen for the September Rotary Student of the Month. Haley has been chosen for her strong leadership and involvement at Lakeville North High School and outside school.
 
At Lakeville North High School, Haley has been in Varsity Lacrosse, Varsity Hockey, on the Track team, as well as in club soccer. Haley is currently National Honor Society President, a member of DECA, and Varsity Speech Team. Haley has been a member of Student Council and a LNHS Key Club member. Haley has been in LNHS musicals, The Music Man & Cinderella and a member of the LNHS Marching Band, LNHS Bel Canto Choir and LNHS Chorale.
 
Outside Lakeville North High School, Haley has been chairwoman for the Pax Christi Catholic Community Halloween Party. She has done state champion writing at MN State Fair, been in dance, Jazz/Tap at Danceworks Performing Arts. She is an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard.
 
Haley’s parents are Jeffrey & Therese Bulen and her Dean is Cheryl Meger.
 
For the month of September Elizabeth Ewert has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville South High School.
 
Elizabeth Ewert is an outstanding student at Lakeville South High School. She has a 4.25 GPA and scored a 33 on her ACT. Not only is Elizabeth a great student, but she is also one of the best competitive air rifle shooters in the country. Her team placed first at the Army Nationals. In addition, Elizabeth has participated in some of the most elite competitions in the country and always finishes amongst the best. In her spare time she also participates in Student Council and HOSA at Lakeville South High School. 
 
Elizabeth’s parents are Ross Ewert and Joy Simonsen and her Dean is Shaun Murphy.
