Each month of the school year, the Lakeville Rotary Club recognizes students of the senior class who demonstrate “Service Above Self”. 
 
For the month of March Jaiden Danelski as the March Rotary Student of the Month.  Jaiden’s parents are Jodi & Chris Menning and Paul Danelski.  Jaiden’s Dean is Cheryl Meger.  Jaiden has many academic achievements as well as extra-curricular activities.
 
Jaiden has earned an A.P. Scholar Award in 2016 and an A.P. Scholar with Honor in 2017.  Jaiden has been involved at Lakeville North in Faith Club, a National Honor Society member, a member of Marching Band as rank captain and drum major, and a Panther Prep leader.  She has been in the Students against Destructive Decisions club.  Jaiden has volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, a student leader for the Powerlife Group at Hosanna! Church.  She has volunteered at “New Friends” dinner at Hosanna! been on a youth mission trip to Haiti and serving at the program Pretty Pretty at Cedar Valley Church.  Jaiden has been a tutor for a 3rd grader at Eastview Elementary School every week.  She has volunteered at Dakota County Library in the summer reading program.
 
Lakeville South will recognize Greta Kvittem as the Lakeville South High School Rotary Student of the Month for March.  Greta’s parents are Brent and Lisa Kvittem and her Dean is Dr. Dana Kelly.
 
Greta currently has a cumulative GPA of 4.55 and ranks 2 out of a highly competitive class of 460 students.  She has proven excellent college readiness skills by earning a 34-composite score on the ACT.  Upon graduation, she will have completed three honors courses and thirteen Advanced Placement courses earning the AP Scholar with Distinction award in 2017.  She took many rigorous courses as independent study or online so that she could practice dance. 
 
Not only is Greta extremely passionate about academics and learning, her passion for ballet dancing motivates her to practice over 30 hours per week. Greta is an apprentice with the Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota and has performed in major professional productions such as, "The Nutcracker," "Beauty and the Beast," "Coppelia Nouveau," "Cinderella 1944," and "Namia." She has traveled the country and trained with the best ballet dancers, but Greta always stayed focused on her studies.
