SEPTEMBER 2015 ROTARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Each month of the school year, the Lakeville Rotary Club recognizes students of the senior class who demonstrate “Service Above Self”. 
 
For the month of September Lakeville North High School has chosen Lillie Lyon. Lillie is a Senior at Lakeville North. Lillie has been chosen for her high academics at Lakeville North High School as well as extra-curricular activities.  Currently, Lillie is ranked number 1 in the senior class at Lakeville North.  Lillie was awarded the Harvard Prize Book Club and is an AP Scholar with Distinction.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society.  Lillie has received the LNHS Departmental Top 2% Scholastic Awards in Math and Communications.
 
Lillie’s parents are Ann Brucciani Lyon and Greg Lyon.  Her dean is Cary Zahn.
 
For the month of September Chase Pankow has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville South High School. Chase has been chosen due to his high GPA and high class rank at Lakeville South.  Currently Chase is ranked number 1 in the senior class at Lakeville South. Chase was awarded the Yale Book Award. He has taken 13 Advanced Placement Courses and is an AP Scholar with Distinction. Chase is on Student Council, Lacrosse Varsity starter all four years and captain his senior year.
 
Outside of school, Chase has volunteered on two mission trips to Guatemala bringing food and relief to remote villages, Run to Walk volunteer, Feed my Starving Children, State Services for the Blind, and Lakeville Lacrosse Association youth coach.  Chase’s parents are Wayne and Carol Pankow and his Dean is John Boche.
