For the month of October Joshua Burniece has been chosen for the Rotary Student of the Month from Lakeville South High School. Joshua is the student leader of our music department at Lakeville South High School. According to department chair and choir teacher Julie Brott, “Joshua is the most musically talented student I have ever taught in my career as an educator.” “He can play anything he hears on the piano and you should hear him beat the drums!” “Pure musical genius.” As a student aide, Joshua is like having another teacher. He teaches and mentors younger students with mini lessons in the practice rooms. As an actor, Joshua has had a leading role in every one of our musicals or school plays since his freshmen year. Joshua’s influence at Lakeville South has been immense. He is a role model student that others can look up to.
