MARCH 2016 ROTARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Lakeville North High School has chosen Samuel Spangler for the March Rotary Student of the Month.  Samuel is very involved in activities at Lakeville North High School.  He is on the Alpine Ski Team, on the Trap Team, a member of the LNHS Marching Band and Concert Band.  Samuel is the Team Manager/Videographer for the Girls Soccer Team.  Samuel is a member of the Lakeville North High School National Honor Society and a top student academically with a high GPA and high ACT composite score.

Outside of Lakeville North High School, Samuel is a youth coordinator at his church.  Samuel is a Cadet 2nd Lieutenant with the Civil Air Patrol.  He has received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy.  He attended a summer seminar at the US Air Force Academy.

Samuel’s parents are Beverly & Michael Spangler.  Samuel’s dean is Paul Donner.

For the month of March, Lakeville South High School has chosen Alex Heuer, as Lakeville South’s Rotary Student of the Month.  Alex has been a great contributing citizen while attending Lakeville South. Alex is the leader of the Drama Technical Crew and Musical activities facilitating sound and lighting for nearly every production at LSHS.

Alex is a pioneer in our STEM academy at Lakeville South High School. He helped plan and develop the STEM Academy design and production rooms and recently completed a weather station independent study project with Mr. Just.  He is currently working on his STEM capstone project with John Berg from Terradata.

Alex has a very promising future in the engineering field. He is undecided as to which university he will continue his studies. Another notable: Alex is a National Merit Finalist.

Alex's parents are: Brian and Stacy Heurer and his Dean is Dr. Dana Kelly.
