ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE - Message from Joel Theisen

Our Lakeville Rotary club is sponsoring a young student Nerea Ugarte Puereta age 17 from Madrid Spain and she is set to land on August 18. 2016 Air France Flight 694 at 15:40 (military time) which is 3:40 PM our time at Terminal Two at MSP. I am hoping to get as many people as possible to meet her when she lands to make her feel welcome to Minnesota, please let me know if you can make it. Hope all of you can make it. She is excited to come to Minnesota but I am sure she is nervous at the same time so anything we can do to make her feel happy, safe and excited will be greatly appreciated by her, her family and the undersigned as the YEO Officer in charge of her visit.

Breast Cancer Awareness Education
Steve Volavka introduced our speakers Ann Harris and Lois Joseph from Breast Cancer Education Association (BCEA). Created in 2001 by survivors Ann Harris and Lois Joseph, the Breast Cancer Education Association organizes a conference that’s held in the fall each year that fulfills a need for a broad range of cutting-edge information about breast health. Their program crosses all boundaries and supports a broad range of healing philosophies and possibilities, from surgical options and the latest updates in oncology to mind, body and spirit practices.

This grass-roots organization relies on the support of friends, family and community members to share their message.  Other fundraising events include the Race for the Cure and Ride for the Cure. For more information visit, http://breastcancereducation.org/ .
