For the month of May, Lakeville South High School has chosen Danae Sollie, as Lakeville South’s Rotary Student of the Month.  Two thousand four hundred and eighty two… that is number of hours Danae Sollie has volunteered to touch the lives of other people.
Everything she is involved in from her job at a nursing home to her involvement in teaching students with disabilities has been blessed with Danae’s compassion and genuine kindness. She somehow balances her academics, as she is in the top 1% of her class, involvement in her church, and school choir with all of her community service hours that are geared towards helping others.
Danae exemplifies what it means to put "Service above Self." Irving Washington said it best, “ A kind heart is a fountain of gladness making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles.”

Danea’s parents are: Paul and Carla Sollie and her Dean is Rachel Hughes
