Four Areas of Emphasis/Strategies

  1. Excellent meetings drive attendance and membership.
  • Memorable speakers for “invite a guest days”
  • Time for interaction, fun
  • Entertainment at Paul Harris dinner
  • Master of Arms is important
  • Change things up once in a while.  Occasional jokes…
  • Don’t put too much on the meeting agendas

2.Give members opportunities to be involved
  • Do a major project this year – significant $ contribution, visible in the community, Rotarians do some of the work
  • At large attendee invited to board meetings.

     3.  Public Relations – More visibility in the community

  • Newspaper ads each month
  • Press releases on scholarships, Strive, Taste of Lakeville, Lakeville Foundation donations, etc.
  • Visible, permanent projects with Rotary “stamp”
     4.  Communication
  • President e-mail to the club after board meetings
  • Short informational presentations when appropriate
  • Budget, Taste of Lakeville summary, Foundation giving
